To cover the studies and travel expenses, two 18-month fellowships funded by a partnering Foundation are available for students enrolled in the Master in Chemical Biology starting in September 2023. Students from Lebanon, Switzerland, Italy and India are prioritised when considering this fellowship. Selection is made on the basis of academic performance and motivation for studies in chemical biology.
Amounts
- CHF 21’600 per fellowship (CHF 1’200 per month per fellowship)
- Two fellowships are available for academic year starting in September 2023
Requirements
- Bachelor degree holders in chemistry, or biology, or biochemistry, or biophysics or equivalent.
- A background in organic chemistry or biochemistry is necessary.
- Above-average grades in relevant disciplines.
- Students from Lebanon, Italy, Switzerland and India are prioritized.

- Academic excellence
- Motivation to study chemical biology demonstrated during an interview with the Educational Committee administrating the Master.
- Validation by the Educational Committee administrating the Master
- Commitment to advancing society in their home country
How to apply
To be considered for the scholarship, you must apply for the Master in Chemical Biology:
- Submit the Enrollment application form. Applicants need to meet the basic conditions of enrollment of UNIGE.
- UNIGE admission form: In case you meet the conditions of enrollment, a complete application file will have to be sent to the Admissions Office.
- Master in Chemical Biology admission form: This application includes cover letter, resume and school documents and is directly evaluated by the Educational Committee administrating the master.
Application deadline
- by February 28, 2023 (post stamp being evidence) for those who need a visa because of their nationality, as set forth in Swiss federal regulations
- by April 30, 2023 for the others
