Chemical biology exploits the power of chemistry to make progress in biology. The field incorporates the disciplines of bioorganic chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, pharmacology and biophysics.
From the quest for natural small molecules, or non-natural probes to purposefully address specific gaps in biological knowledge, to new cell delivery routes of challenging substrates, through the study of the biological role of lipid diversity and their impact on signaling processes, these are only a few of the research questions members of the SNE Chemical Biology work on.
